I was driving along the shoreline one day and stopped in at a place called Snug Harbor on Muskegon Lake. Off in the distance I saw a large bird sitting in a dead tree. Even though the bird was too far away for a photo, I used the telephoto lens to see what kind of bird it was.
Bingo, Bald Eagle. I figured they probably nested near by, so the next day I came back with my kayak. Not long after getting out into the harbor, this eagle flew down, snatched up a fish, and flew up into that dead tree. The wind was blowing me closer and closer to it. This was working out perfectly! Not long after that, it took off flying right towards me. Jackpot!
