Found this spider near Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg. The dew that morning was perfect, there were webs everywhere and they were covered with drops of dew. 5-26-2018 Gettysburg National Military Park

Chipmunk Peek-A-Boo
I set out to Hoffmaster State Park just down the road from where I live to photograph the fall leaves. Soon after I got there the sky went overcast and the light just wasn't right for it.
Not wanting to waste the trip out, I proceeded to walk around and try to capture some of the wildlife. This little chipmunk scurried up a tree and gave me that perfect pose.Chipmunk Peek-A-Boo

One of our road trips took us to the Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area in Kentucky. Why? Simply because we hadn't been there before. One of the campgrounds had a bird feeder with dozens of hummingbirds flying around it.
I had never photographed them before, so I gave it a shot. In 95 degree heat, it was quite a challenge. Despite the sweat dripping in my eyes, and these little guys not wanting to stay in one place very long, I managed to get a shot that I liked.Ducks in a row
While waiting for the perfect moment to capture the sunset on Petoskey Bay on Lake Michigan, the water started to reflect a shimmering gold light that was just fabulous. I saw these ducks start swimming across in front of me and waited for just the right moment to capture them.

Bee
Bees are amazing, not only because they make honey that I love so much, but also because they help complete the circle of life with their pollination efforts. Photographing them is a challenge because they move around so much, which is kind of weird because there's plenty of pollen right there, why not just stay right there Mr. Bee?
Freedom's Dinner Vertical
I was driving along the shoreline one day and stopped in at a place called Snug Harbor on Muskegon Lake. Off in the distance I saw a large bird sitting in a dead tree. Even though the bird was too far away for a photo, I used the telephoto lens to see what kind of bird it was.
Bingo, Bald Eagle. I figured they probably nested near by, so the next day I came back with my kayak. Not long after getting out into the harbor, this eagle flew down, snatched up a fish, and flew up into that dead tree. The wind was blowing me closer and closer to it. This was working out perfectly! Not long after that, it took off flying right towards me. Jackpot!Freedom's Dinner Horizontal

One of the advantages to kayaking is the ability to get close to wildlife. It's almost as though they're thinking "Hey, if you're going to go through the effort to get out here, we'll let you get closer".
This day was no exception. The Ludington State Park is always good for finding wildlife, and is one of the best State Parks in Michigan. Whether hiking the many miles of trails, or boating in the lake or river, you're sure to see something wonderful.White Tailed Deer
This young Whitetailed Deer was standing along side the road when we drove up, I quickly stopped and broke out the camera. The sun was setting and the light was quickly fading. It walked to the side and I got a few good shots of that, but there's nothing quite like one of God's creatures looking right at you!
Heron
While at the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, this Heron flew across in front of me quite unexpectedly. I took about five shots, but only one had the entire bird in the photograph. I was quite pleased when I saw the result as I was set up to capture stationary birds at the moment, not moving birds.
